We had a birthday party for Kurt Sunday. Of course we had tacos! Instead of a cake Kurt wanted watermelon or strawberries (We had both) We had a good time with family. Friday I rearranged the living room. It has been the same since we moved in, so it was time. I think I like it. Saturday I went to visit my Mom. She is doing well and can walk to the bathroom with a walker. She is doing great for only two weeks since she broke her hip. She is determined to go home as soon as she can. She has that "Engler one track mind". Keith had to auction at the Rotary Reverse Raffle Auction on Saturday night. We went to the lake and got my mustang convertible out of storage on the way to the auction. Keith has three auctions this week. The busy time is starting for him. Sunday Keith went out to the woods and picked me some daffodils. I have some of them on my desk at work. They were beautiful. After the kids went home, we went on a ride in the golf cart out to the woods and Keith & I dug up four big clumps of daffodils and planted two in front of the house and two behind. We didn't dig them all up so if these don't make it we can try again. It was a beautiful day. Keith had got some bait in case Kurt and the kids wanted to fish, but we just visited and enjoyed being together. FUN DAY. I called Kevin in the evening. He had called when we were out planting flowers. It was great to hear from him. Sarah and the baby are doing well! I will post some pictures from Sunday. Thursday night Casey was in Seussical the Musical at Butler. It was really good. She was Cat in the Hat #8 and did a great job.

Scrappin'
Keith went to Cleveland Thursday to get Saturday's auction ready there. He came back Saturday night after the auction. I had Friday off. It was a good day. I started out with doing some book work for the cemetery. Then I went to town to get my village tax form filled out (for the last time since we moved to the country) then I went to a garage sale and to visit Keith's Mom as it was her birthday. She wasn't home. So I went to Defiance to my favorite store, CJ Banks. I had been to Vickie Apt's to get my hair cut Wednesday and she mentioned she thought by slacks were baggy. I hurried home to try on the clothes I bought when I lost weight in 2004. I could button, but not zip them-DARN. So went I got to CJ Banks, I tried on slacks. I could wear a size smaller so I bought a pair of jeans and two pair of slacks. Great sale. Got 50% off one pair, 75% off the other and the jeans, so I bought a top at 50% off too. It felt great. I will keep trying so I can get into my other clothes. That is my goal. Then I went to visit my Mom in the Hicksville Hospital. I had a Red Hat outing Friday night. We went out to eat and to the community play in Montpelier, "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown." Saturday I scrapbooked until around 5:30 then went to visit Mom till 7 then back home to scrapbooking. Sunday I also scrapbooked and the grand total of pages for the weekend was 45!! I ran out of pictures and now I will have to print some to continue. I am in July 2007. I have a computer class at the library tonight and Wednesday night from 6 to 7:30. Thursday night is Casey's musical "Suessical the Musical" in Butler. I will probably visit Mom tomorrow night and Friday night. Keith has an auction in Cleveland tomorrow and in Edon Saturday. He is also doing the Rotary Auction Saturday night and I will go with him to that, so no more scrapbooking until Sunday. I will probably go through withdrawal!!

News on Mom
Well, this is not good news. My Mom got home from Florida Friday night at 10 after 5 and at 8 o'clock she fell in her kitchen and broke her hip. They took her to Hicksville Hospital and transfered her to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. She had surgery Saturday. They released her from Parkview yesterday and moved her back to Hicksville Hospital for rehab. She will be there six to eight weeks. The good news is she is in good spirits. This is the first time she has had to stay in a hospital since she had Karen sixty one years ago. Mom is 94! That's pretty amazing for now days. She is always smiling and has such a good outlook on life. The Hicksville facility is all new and so nice and cheery. I thank God that she is the sweet wonderful woman she is. It has been a busy week as I got home Friday night from three days in Columbus for the library. I was at the hospital all day and evening Saturday. Keith & I went back on Sunday. Karen spent all day yesterday with Mom and followed her to Hicksville so she was never alone. I think she will get along very well in Hicksville and it is only ten miles from my house so I can go over often.
Keith has an auction in Bowling Green tomorrow and he will leave from there to go to Cleveland for an auction on Saturday. I will do some scrapbooking and visit Mom. Keith is healing from his hernia surgery and is still on pain medication, but you can't make him slow down very much. Gotta love him. He has been trying to slow down.
